Crystals at City Center, Las Vegas

The Lied Discovery Children’s Museum hosted the Inaugural Queen of Hearts Court Event to honor a choice few of Las Vegas’s very extraordinary women.
This year there are 10 remarkable honorees that include the National Queen Julie Murray and 15 year old Ellie Smith wearing the title “Queen in the Making”.

Lied Discovery Children’s Museum hosts their 29th Annual Fantasy Gala costume benefit at the Mirage Casino Resort
The gala’s theme was “Dream of the Possibilities” and featured signature cocktails, silent and live auction and live entertainment by musical group, Harbor Lights.
The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation received this year’s Great Friend to Kids Award for their contribution and gift to the Smith Center for the Performing Arts which will be the new Lied Museum home scheduled to open November 2012.
The museum is open daily (closed on Monday) and has tons of kid friendly exhibits and attractions to explore from music, to arts & science, nature and so much more.

“Rock The Runway For A Cause”
Project We Group held their 2nd Annual Blue Ribbon Affair at the World Market Center in downtown Vegas. “Rock The Runway For a Cause” was the culmination of another We program called Operation Head 2 Toe where teens create an entire fashion production starting with the initial concept and ending in what promises to be one of the hottest New York Style fashion show in Las Vegas.
The fashion show featured seasoned professional models mixed with many of the young people participating in Operation Head 2 Toe and other projects sponsored by Project We Group. The Las Vegas Public Education Foundation held their 11th Annual “Tee Up for Kids” fundraiser at Spanish Trail Country Club. The golf tournament activities included a hole-in-one contest for the chance to win a brand new Mustang, a closest-to-the-pin contest and an awards luncheon.
The PEF supports Southern Nevada schools through several programs and initiatives. Since their inception they have raised more than 70 million dollars for local public schools.

Held at Spanish Trails Country Club, Las Vegas
Tournament players were on the green bright and early for the 11th Annual Public Education Foundation “Tee Up for Kids” charity fundraiser. Held at the Spanish Trail Country Club Sig Rogich and Olga Lyles were this years’ honorary chairmen.
Since 1991 The Public Education Foundation has been raising money to fund Southern Nevada public school programs like We R Community, Artists 4 Kidsz, Project SMILE, scholarships for local students and the Teacher EXCHANGE program.

Las Vegas Charity TV talks with jewelry designer David Yurman at an evening reception to benefit the Junior League of Las Vegas. Special guest former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir attended the event.
The month of May is Blind Children’s Awareness month and what better time to host the Lady Bug Ball. Kim and Dana Wagner from My Channel 3 news hosted the Nevada Blind Children Foundations fourth annual fundraiser held at Bellagio Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas strip.

Reception and benefit for Junior League of Las Vegas
David Yurman hosts an evening reception at his Forum Shop store inside Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas with a portion of the proceeds to
benefit the Junior League of Las Vegas. A combination of hors’
dourves, a great cause and fine jewels created a magical mix
of fundraising with plenty of fun and bling.
Yurman is well celebrated for his first trademark bracelet he
created in 1983 with his wife and business partner, Sybil, a
painter. The couple say they looked to the curves and textures
of nature for their helix cable design or the ‘swirl’ that is
captured throughout the labels signature designs.

Nevada Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Fundraiser
Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas
This year’s gala honored Chef Wolfgang Puck and his managing partners partners Tom Kaplan, David Robins and Joe Essa.
JDRF’s mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. JDRF is also committed to developing new and better treatments that improve the lives of people with type 1 diabetes in the near term and keep them healthy while we advance toward a cure.
