Southern Nevada Children’s First benefit held at The Ridges in Summerlin

Southern Nevada Children First hosted their 3rd Annual Artfully Sweet event at an exclusive estate at the Ridges in Summerlin.  The event will include desserts and pastries from some of Las Vegas’ premium pastry chefs, artwork from international and local artists, live performances from Cirque du Soleil’s syncronized swimmers, hand balancing act Christopher Jones and the hoop artistry of Elena Lev.

Live auction items included art work from master landscape photographer Peter Lik and Richard MacDonald among others.

Proceeds from this event will benefit Southern Nevada Children First provide long-term transitional living and life skills training to homeless pregnant and parenting teens and young adults. Read the rest of this entry »

The Las Vegas Public Education Foundation held their 11th Annual “Tee Up for Kids” fundraiser at Spanish Trail Country Club. The golf tournament activities included a hole-in-one contest for the chance to win a brand new Mustang, a closest-to-the-pin contest and an awards luncheon.

The PEF supports Southern Nevada schools through several programs and initiatives. Since their inception they have raised more than 70 million dollars for local public schools.

David Yurman hosts an evening reception at his Forum Shop store inside Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas with a portion of the proceeds to
benefit the Junior League of Las Vegas. A combination of hors’
dourves, a great cause and fine jewels created a magical mix
of fundraising with plenty of fun and bling.
Yurman is well celebrated for his first trademark bracelet he
created in 1983 with his wife and business partner, Sybil, a
painter. The couple say they looked to the curves and textures
of nature for their helix cable design or the ‘swirl’ that is
captured throughout the labels signature designs.

Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation Annual Charity Event

Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas

The month of May is Blind Children’s Awareness month and what better time to host the Lady Bug Ball. Kim and Dana Wagner from My Channel 3 news hosted the Nevada Blind Children Foundations fourth annual fundraiser held at Bellagio Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas strip.

Friends of The Shade Tree benefit is huge success !

Held at Marquee Day/Night Club – The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, Nevada

Raising just under $200,000 proceeds from this event will benefit physically abused and homeless women, children and pets. The Shade Tree is the only 24-hour accessible shelter in Southern Nevada and all services are provide free of charge, no matter how long the stay.

“It’s in the Bag” Luncheon and Silent Auction

Las Vegas Philharmonic guild members and guests, enjoyed a lovely luncheon at Cili’s Restaurant located at the Bali Hai Golf Club. The fundraising event featured a silent auction with colorful designer handbags and purses.

Proceeds from the event will help support the upcoming 2011 – 2012 philharmonic concert series.
